I just read a blog about how weddingwire.com creates fake reviews and hands out rewards to their vendors like hot cakes. You can read the full blog here.I just signed up on wedding wire as a DJ Service to help get more clients. But I do not like shady practices, I sure know I do not want that happening to me.
This is why I stress the consultation so much with my clients. When you are hiring me as your DJ for your wedding or event, I want us to talk about what you should expect and I should expect. Both of us should be analyzing each others personalities to make sure we are a good fit for each other. Yes we will talk about song selection, but you should be asking questions about my equipment. Back up plans if something goes wrong etc.
The times of the dirty old mobile DJ's are over. Its time to step up our game and professionalism as a DJ Service and provide real value to all of our clients. Its more than just pushing a button to play a song, you can do that yourself. You are coming to us for our technical skill, lighting, and sound equipment. You should not have to worry about anything when it comes to the music portion of your reception or party besides having fun.
